“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(At one point I remarked to Bill Gallagher that I used to have two favorite questions for Seth: “What do you do between sessions?” and “How’s my old friend Frank Watts?” Seth’s answer to my first question was “What do you do?” He now gave essentially that answer when Peggy asked my old question tonight. Commenting on Frank Watts, the personality Jane and I first contacted on the Ouija board to begin these sessions, Seth told me that there were records in town pertaining to Frank Watts, if we would stir ourselves to look for them.

(When Peggy asked him if the records pertained to Frank Watts being a teacher, Seth gave an answer I do not recall, except that I am sure it was not a direct yes or no. Frank Watts, Seth did tell us, is doing very well. Seth also said in a quietly humorous way that Frank Watts was still a fathead, as he had told us many sessions ago. [...]

[...] Even Frank Longwell called this morning, wanting to know if I’d heard from any doctors yet. [...] I related the whole business to Jane this afternoon after she’d finished lunch, and expressed my frank hope that “a certain party” might have some pertinent comments on the whole affair. [...]

[...] It was getting cloudy; I told her I hoped Frank Longwell was at the house, planting the red maple while the young fellow from school was mowing the grass. [...]

[...] As I pulled into the driveway in back, I saw that Frank had planted the red maple. [...]

(Frank Longwell visited yesterday noon. [...]

(10:36.) A note to Frank Longwell, by the way—that all in all he is handling the events of his life well at this time. [...]

(Frank Longwell visited this noon, and I read him Seth’s material from my notes. [...]

[...] I told her that Frank Longwell visited this morning. We agreed on the location of the Crimson King red maple in the back yard; Frank is to plant it tomorrow afternoon, and bring the young fellow with him to mow the grass, which is some six inches high. [...]

[...] I’m dancing at a swank dance floor with a younger man with dark darting eyes that now remind me of Frank Longwell, Jr. I know I’ve seen him once before and that he’s a thief. [...]

(It will be remembered that these sessions began two years ago through our contacting a personality called Frank Watts, who was superseded by Seth in the fourth session. Jane and I have made a few sporadic attempts to learn more about Frank Watts; such a man did live in Elmira, we learned, through a resident who knew him. [...]

[...] We wondered if Richard Watts bore any connection to Frank, and I made a point of mentioning it just before session time tonight. [...]

It was not our Frank Watts. [...]

(I’ve made no effort to record her progress systematically since we began our twice-daily suggestion routine, and since Frank Longwell has been giving her a weekly massage. Frank has done some notes on it, and Jane has a few. [...]

[...] I thought it a good idea, myself, so when she slept until 10:30, and then became busy talking to Frank Longwell about the conversion of our front porch to a glassed-in affair, I didn’t ask that she try any. [...]

Frank Watts did indeed come from the state of sorrow. He was a makeup personality—that is, through Frank Watts I had to make up for past errors. [...] I should not make light of Frank Watts, since almost literally he redeemed me. This plane for Frank Watts was a plane of sorrow. [...]

(“Seth, when you were speaking to us as Frank Watts in the 2nd session, you said you came from the state of sorrows.

(These sessions began when we contacted the Frank Watts personality through the Ouija board, in December 1963. The Frank Watts personality was replaced in the 4th session by Seth. Seth has dealt with Frank Watts to some degree in the following sessions: 4, 8, 11, 14, 15, 16, 21, 25, 29, 31, 51, 85, 88, 173, 184, 189, 224. [...]

[...] I am not emotionally in strong connection with any personalities known to Frank Watts, for example. [...]

Frank (Longwell) is far more open-minded than most chiropractors or doctors, and he has learned much. [...]

[...] When Frank moves Ruburt’s arms thus-and-so (with gestures), the beneficial results occur because Ruburt recognizes that his arms can move. [...]

Frank, however, takes it for granted that there must be some resistance on the part of the body, that it will be reluctant, and this is not the case.

The first session with Frank Withers had been held on December 2, 1963. [...]

[...] Frank Longwell had visited at noon, and I’d showed him the new chair I’d made for Jane, based on his design. [...]

Your person-to-person encounters with reality have been unusually supportive of late: Adams, Frank, your new friends the Germans, and even your encounter with the photographer. [...]

[...] Frank Longwell visited later this afternoon, and applied to Jane’s legs and back a heating device he’d lent us some time ago. [...]

[...] Frank’s gadget can now serve as an excellent natural physical therapy, particularly useful at this stage, sending the message also that Ruburt is willing to let such relaxation occur. [...]

We will call this a letter to Frank, though hopefully it can be of use to some other people I know (amused). [...]

In between, Frank’s help was quite necessary. [...] Frank’s knowledge can still be helpful, but it should not be allowed, now, to curtail improvements, or limit them, by conventional knowledge of what muscles and joints can or cannot do, or by projecting any particular procedure—as, for example, Ruburt will do this or that, before this or that.

Frank represents your belief that you must hold on to someone at least medically oriented, if unconventionally so, in Framework 1—a needed crutch, and he has been of some help. [...]
