[...] The idea, of course, is only to integrate the two often opposing points of view, instead of having them in conflict with each other, since, as Seth says, we always have some practical need of Framework 1 activity. But now I’m turning more and more toward Framework 2, making a try at placing my faith and need for solutions there where they can generate their own, seemingly without effort. [...] Even large portions of these activities I now try to relegate to Framework 2’s tender ministrations. [...] It’s an amazingly simple luxury to consider a problem or challenge, then say the hell with it and throw it into Framework 2. It is, of course, reminiscent of our behavior right after we first learned about the frameworks, and as I remember it worked very well. [...]
In this way, with the words spoken “Let thy will be done,” the self could free itself from its own misconceptions, and attract from Framework 2 benefits that it might otherwise not be knowledgeable enough to request. FRAMEWORK 1 AND FRAMEWORK 2
[...] Using the terms begun in the last chapter, I will say then that man’s emotional identification with nature is a strongly-felt reality in Framework 2. And there we must look for the answers regarding man’s relationship with nature. There in Framework 2 the nature of the psyche appears quite clearly, so that its sweeps and rhythms can be understood. [...]
The world’s ideas, fantasies, or myths may seem far divorced from current experience — yet all that you know or experience has its origin in that creative dimension of existence that I am terming Framework 2. In a manner of speaking your factual world rises on a bed of fantasy, myth, and imagination, from which all of your detailed paraphernalia emerge. [...]
[...] It must be clearly understood, then, that when I speak of myths I mean to imply the nature of psychic events whose enduring reality exists in Framework 2, and forms the patterns that are then interpreted in your world.
Such information, such inspired writing, usually appears within frameworks of the personality that have already been set and formed. [...] In some cases, the framework itself is used for a final time, with the initial inspired knowledge — the knowledge itself — escaping from the framework and growing out of the context that allowed for its birth.
The experience came within a framework that he could accept — that of highly accelerated inspiration. [...] Had his habits instead led him, say, to regular prayer, then that framework could also have been used. [...]

[...] She never forgot the help you two gave her one night, when she was frightened, and that connects you to her in Framework 2.
[...] Since I’d been thinking of Wanda rather strongly last week, wondering whether the doctor in question could help Jane and her eye condition, I took our meeting as a clear case of the workings of Framework 2. On impulse I asked Wanda if she could arrange an appointment for Jane, and was surprised to hear that it could be set up for next Monday. [...]
(Driving home, I had misgivings about my actions in making the appointment without consulting Jane, but told myself I trusted my impulse and the working of Framework 2. I also felt that Jane would never see a doctor on her own. [...]
Framework 2 was involved, and so was the chair and so was Frank’s return. [...]
These were interruptions, and because of your attitudes you thought of them as troublesome interruptions: surely you would have sailed through your work otherwise, or performed chores that you wanted to accomplish; and so because you still do not really understand the effectiveness of Framework 2, those visits added to your sense of concern and hassles with time. Framework 2 knows of all of your purposes, as I have mentioned. [...]
He thought of that term before our Framework 1 and 2 material, and his idea was that the impulses came from a part of the self that automatically knew the entire picture of the self’s environment and potentials. He was quite correct, for those impulses arise from the larger self’s immersion in Framework 2, and those impulses led Ruburt to his intuitive inspirations, experiences of psychic events, and to the books. [...]
[...] You have a right to refuse guests, of course, and yet if you learn to work with Framework 2 with greater faith you will find that other issues are usually involved than those immediately apparent.

Three: I will remember the creative framework of existence, in which I have my being. Therefore the possibilities, potentials, seeming miracles, and joyful spontaneity of Framework 2 will be in my mind, so that the doors to creative living are open.
[...] (Pause.) You were both born with certain abilities, and you knew ahead of time that you would have to enlarge the framework of conventional concepts if you were to have room to use those abilities. In a way, they gave you both a second life, for in the old framework there was no satisfying (underlined) or creative way to go. [...]
[...] You were looking for a larger framework of existence itself, from which to view the reality with which you were familiar. [...]
[...] He sensed your abilities also, and psychically the two of you pooled your creative resources to reach beyond the reality that you know, to search for some other vaster framework that could help explain the events of your private reality and the events of the public world. [...]
Sometimes such cases are handled within another framework, in which Augustus would be considered possessed by an independent “evil” entity whenever Augustus Two took over. Now again, if Augustus somehow changed his beliefs it is possible that even within that framework some kind of cure would be effected. [...]
There is no real adequate framework in your society in which people like Augustus can be treated with any effectiveness.

[...] For reasons I will not go into now, and speaking simply, you are coming into a fertile period, each of you—in part because of changed beliefs, so that your relationship with Framework 2 is more intimate, practically speaking, now—and I would like you to take advantage of that.
The idea of the Sinful Self came into play here, for if the material was not true, then in that framework it must necessarily be false—or at the least very misleading. The energy you sense in whatever program you watch imagine almost like a generator, as energy here drawing power from Framework 2 into the room, into Ruburt’s body and your own, activating both your physical and psychic existences.
You should understand that we have been talking about Framework 1 and Framework 2. [...]
