(Seth II:)(Words lost)...observed then realize that we are highly interested in such experiments as Seth is conducting, and that as we observe you, so do you, though unconsciously, observe other realities in your sleep state. If our reality seems strange to you then yours seems strange to us. We move through systems such as yours faster than the speed of light, and so what I am saying is already a translation and, in your terms, a message left in the past of your time. Your own consciousness also travels faster than the speed of light, and big portions of you does understand, to some degree, the nature of our reality. At least it has an innate comprehension of the probabilities in which you exist. There are portions of your own identity, in other terms, that dwell in these probable systems that have not known physical reality and that come to observe those portions of itself that have so developed in that fashion. And so do we observe and does yourself serve as a translator in our behalf. Unfortunately, we do not communicate easily with the portion of you that can understand. You are not in communication with that portion of yourselves that is not physical, that was never physical and that will not know physical existence at all, and since you identify with the physical self then, indeed, we come to you in the guise of ghosts that you do not understand our forms that you cannot see. And yet, since we seeded the universe in which you have your present existence then do we observe, and do we watch, and do we have concern.

Now my relationship with you, brought up quite cleverly by our friend over here, is indeed a strange one since you do not relate to me as you do to each other. But you may tell our friend over here the effort I make precisely so that you do not set me up as a demigod and that you use your own abilities. Now if this were not the case you would be dealing with my friend, Seth II, all of the time so you had all better watch out.

Now some of this is, indeed, a translation or, again, you would be speaking with Seth II, yet what I am continues to exist. And the, I hope, the delightfully human egotistical characteristics that I show help calm your fears and show you that the self as you think of it, continues to exist. I have a reservoir of personality banks upon which I can draw, and as a teacher I use the one that is most effective in any given system of reality and this is the one that I use here. It is a portion of myself that is the most closely connected with earthly existence, and it is a self that I like very well, indeed.

(Seth II:) Fantasies are the realities your intellect does not perceive in other fantasies, therefore, those others who watch you and who watch without any awareness of the intellect as you understand it. [...]

(We each described our reactions to Seth II and what we saw at the time.)

(Seth II:) In your terms we remember our part in the creation of your universe, but you are not aware of your part in the creation of other universes into which you also peer. [...]

(Seth II:) Certain translations are being made for you so that these communications make sense to you. [...] Those among you who can follow, then hold onto these sounds and let them carry you with our trying an experiment at your Seth’s suggestion. [...]

(Following a discussion of everyone’s experiences during the week.) Now I want you to get used to Alpha II and so I would like you to take your eyes off this charming face and close your eyes. [...]

Therefore, I want you to imagine in your mind Alpha II and a door that has been closed and that now opens. [...]

So I am the Seth that is beyond the Seth that you know. And in me the knowledge and vitality of that Seth still rings. In your terms I am a future Seth. [...]

(Note: Some of Seth’s voice effects were very loud—I heard Seth rather clearly through two closed doors—after I had retired. [...]

[...] I am aware, for example, of your Seth and of your Seth II. [...]

(The class was discussing the “other personality” (Seth II] when Seth entered the discussion.)

Now despite my gentle, good-humored remarks about the personality you call Seth II, let me tell you something—You cannot translate the dimensions of his personality. [...]

(There was a comment about Seth’s statement, as to how he had been around in a few of Rochelle’s endeavors. Seth clarified this. [...]

(Here there was an exchange between Seth and me, in which I didn’t have to take notes. Seth said this chapter was intended as a change of pace from the long excerpts included in the book. [...] “Then I suppose you’ll want to handle question number eight later, too: Are you a medium for Seth II?”)

(“Number seven: Are you going to talk about Seth II in this book?”)

(As instructed by Seth in the last session, I had compiled a list of questions for this chapter. [...]

(Seth II:) The experiment continues. [...]

(Seth:) Now I am not open to questions this evening. [...]

We are now having a Seth break. [...]

[Seth II:] Let the human characteristics by which you know me, fade into their proper perspective. Seth as you know him, is distant in my own past, a reality that I scarcely remember. [...] I am not only what he will one day become in your terms I am far more—and in me your Seth, while remaining a developing identity on his own, is a distant memory in my consciousness. [...]

(Seth II.) Donot imagine that we are not individuals or that because we seem alien to you that we do not know joy or creativity. [...]

[...] Within these, Seth as you know him is a shadow within my awareness. [...]

(To me:) Now, you remember, because of one of your experiences and something I said in a session—or, rather, another portion of me said in a session —having to do with the fact that Seth II, if you could perceive him, would be as small as a brown nut. [...]

(“Would Seth II fit in that group?” Rob asked.

(Humorously:) Would Seth II fit in which group?

(Other Personality [later named Seth II]:) I have not traveled where you are, and yet a portion of me that you know as Seth has so traveled. [...]

[...] I can only to some extent communicate at this channel, yet you realize that the Seth you know, while a part of my identity, is nevertheless independent, and progresses along the lines of his own development. [...] On many occasions I transmit information to your Seth and he then gives it to you. [...]

[...] Seth, however, has. [...] Seth tells me that it is difficult for you to understand this particular point. [...]

(Jane has had two recent, excellent and long sessions for her ESP class, however, featuring both Seth and Seth II, and including new material.)

[...] Jane and I sat to see if Seth would come through. I told Jane she needn’t have a session, but she was willing enough, if Seth decided to. [...]

[...] After we talked a bit, I deduced that Seth/Jane had been trying for the word “Stonehenge,” meaning the ancient Druidic stone monoliths arranged in a circle in England, etc. Jane then said this was the word Seth had been trying to get her to say. [...]

(Jane said she didn’t really want to speak for Seth’s entity tonight, if that’s what she was trying to do, so I suggested she break it off. Jane said “things were significant in the room,” a phrase she has used before when preparing to speak for Seth’s entity, or Seth II as we sometimes call “him.”)

(This session was held to obtains answers to two questions we had for Seth. Both pertained to Jane’s book on the Seth material, which she is just finishing. [...]

(By this I meant to ask Seth if he planned to dictate a chapter, or at least a few pages, for Jane’s book on the material. [...] But it can be seen that Seth doesn’t directly answer the question.)

I should also open up some further experiences with both Seth II, Cyprus, and Oversoul Seven. [...]

(“Come on,” Jane said at 9:05, as she waited for Seth to come through. [...] This was the first time I’d heard her express her impatience at Seth, as though everyone was supposed to be ready when we wanted a session.

(Finally at 9:15 Jane “felt Seth around.” [...]

(Sometime after 9 PM Jane and I sat to see if Seth would come through. I told Jane she needn’t have a session, but she was willing enough if Seth decided to. She has been working long hours on her book for Prentice-Hall, The Seth Material, and has but a couple of chapters to rewrite. [...]

(After we had talked a bit I deduced that Seth/Jane had been trying for the word Stonehenge—meaning the ancient Druidic stone monoliths, arranged in a circle in England, etc. Jane then said this was the word Seth had been trying to get her to say. [...]

([Seth II:]) You do not understand multidimensional personality structures. [...]

([Seth:]) Now. [...]

[...] Seth interjected the following.)

[...] I am aware, for example, of your Seth and of your Seth II. [...]

[...] During the long layoff Jane and I worked on Seth’s book, editing, rewriting notes, etc. [...] Jane called the publisher today, and learned that The Seth Material is due in paperback probably in January, with Seth’s own book to be published next October.

(Jane said she finally became aware of “half-formed words, or something like that,” from Seth, as we waited for the session to begin. [...]

([Seth II:]) And that self tells you that there is a reality beyond human reality, beyond human characteristics that you know—and within that reality even I am dwarfed and there is knowledge that can never be verbal. [...]

So I am the Seth that is beyond the Seth that you know. And in me the knowledge and vitality of that Seth still rings. In your terms, I am a future Seth. [...]
